The Hooded Plover Jumper is a relaxed fit knit featuring a flattering V-neck, front pocket detail and large hood. As a mid-weight knit, they’re not only perfect for layering in Winter, but can be styled with denim shorts for the warmer months. Not to mention they’re made from 100% A Grade cashmere, so they’re beautifully soft!
Cashmere is a natural fibre that’s close to our hearts. It’s luxurious, long-lasting and beautiful to wear! Our cashmere is sustainably farmed in Inner Mongolia, so when you shop with Olivers Reef you’re also helping the environment.
To ensure the longevity of your gorgeous piece, it’s important to give it the right TLC…
KEEP IT CLEAN, BY GETTING YOUR HANDS DIRTY
We recommend handwashing your cashmere garment, as over time it will make it even softer. Wash in cool or lukewarm water and, to preserve its shape, avoid stretching or wringing the garment.
Gently press out the excess water and lay flat on a towel to dry. Let the garment dry naturally – it may take a little longer but it’s worth it for the longevity of your favourite Winter warmer!
USE THE RIGHT PRODUCTS
When washing, it’s important to use a specialised detergent as cashmere can be delicate.
We have our very own Olivers Reef Silk/Cashmere Wash, manufactured right here in Adelaide, South Australia. Made from lotus flowers and green tea, the gel is low foaming, anti-static and features natural deodorises and conditioners!
Clean your cashmere garments before storing them, as moths are attracted to natural fibres that are dirty.
Avoid hanging as this can cause the garment to stretch. Instead, keep your knit tucked in a drawer. To prevent wrinkles, you can fold the garment around a piece of tissue paper.
SAY GOODBYE TO PILLING
If you’ve purchased cheaper acrylic knits in the past, you’ll be familiar with piling. Piling occurs when fibres break loose and bunch. Luckily for you, our cashmere has a very low pilling rate meaning that you’ll have your favourite Olivers Reef knitwear for many years to come!
